Fried Catfish Special
I am hooked on this restaurant! After coming for the first time I had to return the next day! It's honestly hard to choose the best dish because each dish I had was AMAZING! The fried catfish was sooo crispy and fresh without the fishy taste. Fried to perfection! Nice and golden and greatly sized. I also had the Mac and cheese and collard greens and I have been bragging to everyone I know lol. As a southern Louisiana native, this food fulfills the missing piece of home that I've been needing! You will NOT be disappointed! Great ambience, great workers, and the chef definitely needs to be KISSED lol!
Ribeye
I rarely crave steak, but tonight I did. Not sure how I knew, but had a feeling Jay Pappa's would be an excellent cut of meat, and cooked perfectly. Haven't had a steak that good since my father passed!! Ordered through their delivery service with DoorDash. If you haven't tried them, you are totally missing out. So blessed that we have a restaurant of their caliber that delivers!! Thank you Jay Pappa's!!?[?]
Catfish Lunch
The catfish was perfectly cook brought back memories of my grandfathers' . Home cooking!!!! Turnip greens perfect also.
Duck Wraps
The food was excellent. The Duck Wraps were spicy and very filling as an appetizer option. The Red fish supreme had the right amount of spice. It is really worth it for the price.
Cajun Pasta
Fantastic Cajun pasta ! Flavorful and the perfect amount of spice !
Catfish
The blackened catfish with salad and green beans is the perfect low carb meal that fills you up! With 2 large catfish filets there's plenty. Seasoned to perfection!
Daily Lunch Special
Chicken Parmesan was excellent. Size of the meal was surprising. Love the hot water cornbread.
Crab Cakes
I'm a big crab cakes fan and the only thing I ever order at Jay Pappas are the crab cakes. They are the best I've ever had!! Yes, we eat at Jay Pappas a lot!!
Shrimp PoBoy
Such a great shrimp poboy! Jay Papas does a great job with all of their items! Monroe is very lucky to have them!
